Story

The Coronavirus pandemic means that the charity Muscular Dystrophy will lose £2.8 million pounds of income this year alone due to many fundraising events cancelled or postponed.

We at Succeeding for Sandra feel helpless, our own fundraising has taken a set back with many of our hopes for our fund being postponed too.

Keeley and Connor took part in the 2.6 challenge to mark what would have been the London marathon event and during this it was suggested that they take on some of the Guild wheel -  to which Keeley and Connor set to make this their next challenge.

This is where we NEED your help. We have decided to make this into an event in which we are looking for people to take part so here is the challenge ...

The Guild Wheel is a 21 mile circular route that can be ridden or walked/ran in any direction for as far as you want, you can join the route at any point on the way.

To keep it as safe as possible and to keep in line with social distancing rules the best way for this event to run is for individuals/small groups to participate on a day of their choice up until the end of July.

You are in total control of how you participate (Walk, Run or Cycle) and the distance is totally up to you!!

Keeley and Connor (aged 11 and 9) have decided to set themselves the challenge of walking HALF of the guild wheel (a total of 10.5 miles!!) and have chosen to do this on Saturday 27th June which marks the birthday weekend of their grandma, Sandra.

To take part please get in touch and we will add your name to this fundraising page.

We ask for a £3 entry donation per person and committment to raise funds whether that is asking for donations OR using a football card to raise money which we will provide you with. With this in mind please understand there is no minimum personal target but we just ask you to be as enthusiastic as possible to help us raise as much as we can together.

Once 'signed up' we can loan out Orange MDUK tshirts (optional) and after your event you will be rewarded with a medal and certificate to show our appreciation.

Get the family involved or tackle with a friend and we hope to get lots of you involved in supporting this event.
