Why?

Coming from a Dairy farming and Aquaculture background I really appreciate farmers all over New Zealand for the effort they put in every day to feed the world with beautiful produce from milk to Mussels. 

Farmers work to feed all of us every day, three times a day - and that's a big job.

My Outward Bound experience taught me so much and has encouraged me to push the boundaries and continue the Outward Bound vision of better people, better communities and better world.

I'm running the 42.2 km in gumboots to represent the people within New Zealand's primary industries. I'll be fundraising for members of the primary industries to participate in an 8 day Outward Bound discovery course, aimed at taking time out of the busy routine and discover personal qualities.

 I can guarantee there will be some blisters from the gumboots but they will be well worth it if more people get to grow and develop as individuals at Outward Bound.
