Fundraising for Make-A-Wish Foundation UK
Story
Firstly a huge thanks for visiting my page . . .
It may come as a bit of a surprise but completing the London Marathon has been on my bucket list for years. Every year I watch it on TV thinking one year. . . one year . . . one year.
Then Windy proposed last year and it gave me the push I was needing. I want to look and feel my best on our big day, so London Marathon 2018 here I come!!!
It's not going to be an easy journey I can assure you, so far I can manage to jog a mile. . . so ONLY another 25 to go!! #CompleteBeginner
Now as you may know the London Marathon is not an easy race to get in to. So I jumped at the chance of a charity place. Make A Wish stood out a mile for me as I feel like I've had my fair share of wishes and would love to help others achieve theirs.
I am extremely lucky to have had many wishes come true over the years -
* Mum to the most wonderful son Declan
* Amazing family holidays including Disneyworld Florida and Dolphins in Cuba
* Trip in Hot Air Balloon
. . . the list could go on and on.
One of my favourite memories so far is when we took our then 4 year old son to Disneyland Paris to meet his hero . . . Buzz Lightyear. We trailed the park for hours and finally found him on our last day . . . well the image of Dec's face that day still brings me to tears. PURE JOY. I felt like the best mum on the planet that day!!
Make A Wish UK helps children's dreams come true. . . they grant magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. They’re given quality time away from the daily realities of living with their condition and given the chance to make magical memories they can treasure forever – whatever their future may hold.
Think how awesome it would it be for many families to feel that PURE JOY feeling. Medical insurance is extortionate and often makes travelling impossible for those who could do with a holiday. So please donate and help others feel the magic of Disneyland. For some their wish is to simply be a Fireman for the day or to have a Spider-Man themed bedroom. Please, please dig deep for them . . . I will be digging deep by mile 10 never mind mile 26. Remember you will be helping to make a massive difference. #HappyChildrenMakesHappyParents
Now I know it's a race, but I will not be chasing Mo or breaking any records!!! My aim is to cross that finish line . . . Jogging/Walking/Crawling/Piggybacking . . I really couldn't care less.
Chase your dream no matter what, it doesn't matter how you get there, as long as you get there xx <3 xx
