I am in the process of training for the London 2012 marathon.  Training is very hard at the moment with the long cold days, but what pushes me on is the thought of the battle a very dear friend of mine went through last January.  I have known Deb since she was eleven and we have been close friends since then. We were also close in age as her birthday was the 31st of January and mine is the 1st of February, me being a year older. I would always joke with her that for one day we were the same age.Deb managed to see her 48th birthday in 2011,but sadly passed away the next day, my 49th. Deb spent her last few days at the Princess Alice in Esher and was well looked after. I am running the marathon in memory of Deb and to raise money for the hospice. Every donation how big or small will be very appreciated.
