I wasn't really concentrating, so just replied ‘Yep’ when Zoe asked if anyone fancied swimming the channel with her. 

On the plus side , I can swim. I also  like cheese. And wine. And France.👍🏼🐠🦀👀

On the negative side , I find swimming a bit dull ( basically you move your limbs about and get wet), get seasick, get really cold fingers in the sea and don’t particularly like doing exercise.and...... we aren't allowed to wear wet suits, so by the time we reach France I'll need tweezers to find anything in me Speedo's!

What can possibly go wrong?

I don’t normally do this sort of thing, but apart from the shipping lanes, cold,seasickness,hypothermia,excessive amount of swimming involved and massive amount of swimmy exercise we are going to have to endure, it should be ok......

Working in the theatre industry and being fairly clumsy I think I’ve been lucky to only slip one disc, break a finger and have some bone ground off my elbow. Having people like Aspire working to help people who have not been so lucky in the Back department is a brilliant and inspiring thing to raise money for , I think.
