I have been diabetic for almost 14 years.

My Dad was diabetic and inevitably passed away due to complications when I was just 10 years old. My Grandad on my fathers side was also a type 1, my other Grandad on my mothers side and my Mum both have type 2 diabetes. My Aunty also has type 2diabetes.

As you can see diabetes is rife in my family so this is for them and all the other diabetics in the country. To help with new research, to help achieve a better quality of life, to one day find a cure.

It is also for me, to prove I can do it.
