Mont Ventoux (Windy Mountain) rises out of the plains of Provence, in Southern France and at over 1900m (6,175ft) high has gained a reputation in the Tour de France as one of the toughest climbs. Admission to Le Club des Cingles du Mont Ventoux (Lunatics of Ventoux) requires all 3 tarmac routes to be ascended in 24 hours - a herculean task involving 140km (88 miles) and over 4500m (14,600ft) of climbing. This is my challenge for late May 2019.
