Guy and Lynne have now walked 1,000 miles from 14 April 2017 and completed the challenge before the target date of end of December 2017.  

Guy has made his 1000 miles at the beginning of September and waited for me to finish 1 month later! 

During the challenge Guy had some health challenges of his own - having had it confirmed that his Sarcoidosis had flared up – this showed activity in his lungs and inflammation in his eyes.  He was also diagnosed with whopping cough(??!!) just to top it off!  So it has not been an easy ride for him, but thanks to various x-rays, MRIs, steroid treatment and pain medication his Sarcoid is quietening down and hopefully one day will burn out.  He is continuing on the pain meds and steroids and we managed to have lovely holiday where he finished his 1000 mile challenge!

They are trying to help raise awareness of the disease and work towards researching the reason for it developing and helping towards finding a cure!  On to the next challenge!
