Safe Haven for Donkeys in the Holy Land, set up in 2000, reaches out to working and abandoned donkeys in Israel and the West Bank (Palestine) through its donkey sanctuary in Israel and free veterinary clinics for hundreds of working donkeys, mules and horses in the West Bank every month.

Story

On 10th March (weather permitting) I and two other chaps will be parachuting from 10,000 feet to raise money for Safe Haven for Donkeys in the Holy Land (SHADH) and we need your help.

Safe Haven is a charity I got involved with through my wife Erika, who has been out to the sanctuary Israel on 3 occasions as a volunteer and has become good friends with Lucy, who runs the shelter.

We came up with the idea while at a fundraising dinner for SHADH last September (needless to say the decision was influenced by the not so small quantities of wine that had been consumed) and now there's no way back.

I hope you will agree to sponsor me for this very worthwhile cause. You can read more about Lucy and her sanctuary on SHADH's website by clicking the link on the left.

Every amount, no matter how small, will be much appreciated. You can donate using your credit/debit card via this site.

If you do prefer to pay by cheque, please make it payable to SHADH and send it to their office at The Old Dairy, Springfield Farm, Lewes Road, Scaynes Hill, Haywards Heath, West Sussex, RH17 7NG.  Please mark the back of the cheque "parachute jump" and mention my name.

Many thanks in advance for your support!
