I have been nominated to sit on the Board of Advisors for the North Woods/Pleasant Valley Family Camp Committee. It is an honor I am proud to accept - and accept on the behalf of my other half Preston. Preston loved Family Camp and would want us to support it during these trying times. Preston lost his battle to COVID-19 that’s why I’m calling my fundraiser, Preston’s Cause. 

I am very proud to say, my family and I have been going to the YMCA of Greater Boston's Overnight Family Camp at North Woods/ Pleasant Valley Camp since 2014. It isn’t only camp who you become connected to, the YMCA becomes family as well. Not only am I a camper, but I’m a very big supporter who knows those beautiful walks, awesome hikes, and just being in the presence of nature. So, your gifts would support these beautiful nature areas of summer kindness. 

Without being able to operate camps in 2020 (because of the Covid-19 pandemic) our favorite place has been in a financially vulnerable position with no income aside from donations. The generous contributions from others provide stability and security supporting basic expenses required to sustain our camps and continue to help fund the exhaustive amount of property maintenance work needed to complete to ensure a successful re-opening for campers like us next summer. I ask you to please consider making a gift in memory of Preston to support one of the places he loved the most.
