I have decided to take part in The Wales Marathon in Tenby on the 15th of July to try and raise some money for Shalom House Palliative Care Unit in St Davids. I've chosen them because of the brilliant work they do supporting and caring for those affected by terminal illness in our county. The facility is the only one of its kind in the county and the money they receive goes towards helping local people in Pembrokeshire. I feel it is vital that it is supported as much as possible because, one of us might need them one day.

This also has a personal element to it for me. I'll also be running in memory of my old man Liam "Zug" Evans, who was taken from us 2 years ago at the age of 59 by cancer. He was a character that was loved by so many people and the fact that I'm doing this for him will drag me through the 26 miles to the finish line!  

So, if you could throw a bit of sponsorship my way, even if its the price of a pint, to help support this great cause and honour the memory of my crazy dad I'd be truly grateful.
