Story
I along with my colleague Indra Deo Rai ex 2 RGR and Dr Rajen Chamling Rai of GWT Nepal, have geared up to cycle across the hills of Darjeeling, the ride will take us to Sikkim through Namche, Singtam and Teesta covering approx. 135km in two days with the elevation up to 2140m.
I and Indra have joined the Brigade of Gurkhas (BofG) in 1990 and have the honour to serve the British Army for 30 years in the other hand Dr Rajen has been serving our pensioners for 12 years, he is connected to BofG through his father who served with 2/7GR is truly a coincidence that we all currently work for the Gurkha Welfare Turst (GWT) in Nepal, so far it has given us immense pride and satisfaction to serve our own fellow Gurkha Veterans where, GWT's welfare pension is the life line for many pensioners, allowing them to live with dignity. These pensioners need our support more than ever especially they are now frail and in old age.
We are very hopeful of your support by donating and sharing this page. Your donation will surely impact many lives of Gurkha veterans living in destitution.
Thank you all.
