Event: London Landmarks Half Marathon 2023, on 2 April 2023
We raise money to help treat & beat heart and lung disease

Story

On Sunday 2nd April I’m running London Landmarks Half Marathon for the Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospital.

As you may know, on the 11th October, 2019 I collapsed in King’s Cross and had a stroke. This was followed by another stroke later that evening, emergency surgery at 4am and my Out of Office being switched firmly ON.

Caused by infective endocarditis, a rare heart condition, I spent three months in a hospital bed on intravenous antibiotics.

During this time I would re-learn how to walk, talk, and (thankfully) run. I would also give remembering things a go. That one’s still a work in progress…remember?

They incredible Brompton team gave me a second chance at life.
All the money raised will help give other people a second chance too.

If you’d like to support me, please donate at the link here:

Thanks,
Hadders
