Story
Hey all,
In 3 months, Emma, Fergus, Archie, Henry and I will be running the Dublin Marathon and will be raising money for MIND in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest in Rene Zamudio's name (#run4rene).
As some of you know, Rene lost his battle with mental health last year. He was 22. However, Rene is not alone. Many other young people are afflicted with the same illness, so I wanted to focus on what MIND do as a charity, and how a donation to them will help.
In 2016/17, 513,539 people used local MIND services (of which MIND in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest is one). In 2012, MIND helped campaign for a bill that was passed that put mental health on an equal footing with physical health. And from 2012-14, the clinical recovery rate for depression/anxiety was 81% amongst those who sought help from MIND in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest.
To conclude, it's an amazing charity at both a local and national level, so donate whatever you can! Links to the charity's website are below.
Best,
Zac and the team xx
