Round Britain Reliability Run 2018 · 5 October 2018 to 7 October 2018 ·
Dear friends, colleagues, partners,
Thank you very much for following the invitation and visiting our fundraising page on justgiving.com.
Our Team - Marcus Pieper (right), Marco Sczudlek (middle) and myself Hagen Hoehl (left), would like to thank you in advance for whatever donation you might do to support the Epilepsy Research in the UK.
Our Story:
Team:
Marcus, like myself, is driving vintage cars since decades and since we met some years ago, we share the passion for British vintage cars and also took part in various classic car events ( mainly with Triumph cars).
When Marcus first told me about the "Round Britain Reliability Run" - an absolute crazy 48h nonstop run thru the whole of Britain for the sake of raising funds for various organizations / people in need - I immediately said: we shall be part of it. And to make the team complete, Marco - as crazy about cars as we are and a good friend - joined our crew.
RBRR - Round Britain Reliability Run:
Since 1966 Triumph car enthusiasts meet up drive 48 hours NONSTOP thru Britain. This means 2.000 miles (or 3.200 km) in 48 hours - average Speed of 42 miles / 67 km per hour - at day and night and in every weather condition lovely Britain can create.
For the sake of fundraising and to proof reliability of (nowadays) vintage cars and their teams. The Event is organized thru the "Club Triumph" and they have raised more than 600.000 GBP over the Events for various institutions and people in need. Thanks to all of you, preparing and staffing this event and doing so much good things over the last years!!
The Team name:
I am working for a Japanese company called GLORY. This Company is celebrating its 100 years anniversary in 2018 and I asked my boss - who is heading the EMEA operations - whether he would support our Team a) with some sponsoring (hotel, fuel etc.) but more important b) to allow me to spread this fundraising link to all employees in EMEA. He immediately loved the idea to combine the 100 years of GLORY in 2018 with the RBRR 2018 and so... the team name was choosen "GLORY". Thanks a lot Vincent and thanks to all colleagues helping to raise as much money as possible for the Epilepsy Research in the UK.

MOST IMPORTANT:
The Club Triumph this year has choosen the Epilepsy Research UK as MARTIN RANDLE - a long year member of the Club and one of the key driver behind many initiatives - have had Epilepsy for years, and despite medication he passed away in 2017 following a Epilepsy seizure. Just in the UK more than 600.000 People do have Epilepsy.
https://www.epilepsyresearch.org.uk/
Epilepsy Research UK invests in research into all areas of epilepsy – giving priority to those areas which have the potential to produce results in immediate problem areas, including: research leading to improvements in the accuracy of diagnosis; and research into improving the treatment and quality of life of the patient. Epilepsy Research UK also supports basic scientific research and operates a fellowship programme to encourage scientists to pursue a career in epilepsy research. The aim is to support innovative research, of the highest scientific merit, that has the greatest potential for patient benefit.
In the Gallery you can find some Pictures of our Triumph 2500 TC, which we have choosen to bring us around Britain. We bought the car last year in the UK and converted it from a barn find to a RBRR car. We did our best to get the car back to a good mechanical standard and also fitted some extra lights and other improvements to make the journey a success.
I would like to thank all of you again for visitting our page and hopefully donating as much as possible!!
Kind regards
Marcus, Marco and Hagen - Team 94 - GLORY
