Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses – who we continually support and develop – provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!

We are raising money for Dementia UK, a fantastic charity and a brilliant cause.

Our challenge is to cover collectively as a club the distance from HCC to Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, the venue of the final game of England’s current tour of India, by either walking, running or cycling. The total distance is 4,607 miles!

Dementia is an umbrella term used to describe a range of progressive neurological disorders, that is, conditions affecting the brain. The Alzheimer’s society reports there are over 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK, it is estimated this number will rise to over 1,000,000 by 2025.

Dementia is a disease that affects many of us, not directly but through family members or friends who have the disease. Something you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy, so we want to raise money for this charity and help fight the battle with Dementia!

We would be so grateful for any donations, no matter how big or how small. Every little helps!

Thank you! X
