Mark's big hair day for the Little Princess Trust

Mark Gaze is raising money for Little Princess Trust

Mark's big hair day · 15 November 2021

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

It's been about two years since I last visited a barber. With the pandemic and several lockdowns, there wasn't the opportunity for a while. So my hair has grown. It's now well over 20cm in length. It's becoming difficult to manage, and it needs a good trim now.

So why not put all that hair to good use? I can do that in two ways:

1. it can be used to make a wig for a child who needs one, and

2. it can raise funds to support cancer research.

I shall be having my hair harvested by LPT at an event on 15 November 2021. When children lose their hair to cancer, the Little Princess Trust is there with a free, real hair wig to help restore their confidence and identity. More importantly, LPT raises money for research into childhood cancer, and it won't stop until research ends childhood cancer forever. Please visit LPT at www.littleprincesses.org.uk to find out how you can help it give young people back what cancer takes away. The Trust relies solely on the efforts of enthusiastic community fundraisers, and receives no formal funding. Please help to raise money for LPT so that it can help fund more vital research.
