At Northern Ireland Hospice, we care for more than 4,000 babies, children and adults with life-limiting illnesses, both in Hospice and in the community. We look after every patient's nursing, medical, social, spiritual and emotional needs with support for their family continuing into bereavement.

Story

My late mom was afraid of losing her hair after chemotherapy. While she was alive, I wanted to shave my hair to support her - to show her that hair doesn't matter, it'll grow back, there are much more important things in life we should worry about.

Sadly, I didn't manage to show her my support in time. She never lost her hair, she lost something far more precious, she lost her life to bowel cancer.

During my mom's illness I met some wonderful people who care for the ill, making their life comfortable, making them safe and provide great support to them and their families. I admire the staff and volunteers working in hospices. Sadly my mom died before the transfer to a hospice home care, but there are many who still need their help.

Please support the NI Hospice.
