Asda Foundation Sheffield Half Marathon 2021 · 26 September 2021 ·

Take on the Sheffield Half Marathon for Team Theo on Sunday 28th September 2021! A major event in the UK's running calendar, the Sheffield Half Marathon is South Yorkshire's biggest event of its kind.

Story

When I was a baby I was diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia - a condition which meant my left hip was not fully formed.

Following multiple surgeries, procedures, and years of treatment at The Sheffield Children's Hospital I am happy to say I can walk/run/jump/dance/climb (everything I could want)!

To say thank you, and to help the hospital continue to deliver life saving and life changing treatment to children from all over the world, I will be taking on the Sheffield Half Marathon on Sunday 29th March 2020.

Starting on Arundel Gate - in the heart of the City Centre, runners then travel down ‘Eccy’ Road before being treated to picturesque views of the Peak District as they pass Encliffe Park. Those views are then left behind as the course heads downhill to the outskirts of Dore and back to ‘Eccy’ Road. Eventually reentering the City Centre, runners finish in front of the Town Hall and an adoring crowd!

The money raised through donations buys life-saving equipment, funds vital research and treatment for thousands of children from across the world. It also helps create a comfortable, engaging environment for the patients at Sheffield Children's Hospital.
