Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We're a bunch of unhealthy hacks who thought it was a good idea to run a half marathon, and somehow managed to persuade the much fitter Johnny Mercer MP to join us.

We're used to competing with each other in our respective newsrooms (Sky News, The Times, The FT), but we thought it was about time that we put that competitive spirit to good use by raising some money for the Eve Appeal.

So we've formed a running group and set up this page in the hope that between us we'll be able to raise a lot of cash for a very good cause.

I can't speak for the rest of my running comrades, but I'm (Beth Rigby) running this half marathon in memory of both my brother Alex, who died from cancer last year and my mum Edith who died a decade ago from cancer. I promised myself I would run a race for them and now I'm finally doing it.

Thank you for visiting our page, spur us on by donating some cash.
