Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This page is for entry for a chance to win a Signed Welsh Rugby Shirt (2021) prize draw to support Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
Only £5 per entry into the draw, and all money will go directly to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People (See details below on how to enter).

Hallam Amos, who plays for the 2021 Six Nations winning Welsh rugby team, has kindly donated a Welsh Rugby Shirt signed by all the members of the winning team to his grandfather, Roy Stainton, to raise money for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.

Roy is the Treasurer of the South Hants Hearing Dogs fundraising committee. Roy has been involved with Hearing Dogs for many many years, and I would like to help him raise as much as we can for a fantastic charity.
Hearing dogs help deaf people to leave loneliness behind, by having their best friend by their side. The dogs are highly trained to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds, such as the smoke alarm, alarm clocks and even intruder alarms and baby monitors. They also provide lots of love, companionship and emotional support, which is really important as many deaf people can feel lonely and isolated.
There are so many little costs that all add up when training one of these amazing animals to become life-changing companions. The cost to train and support each dog throughout their lifetime is £45,000.

I have my hearing dog called Albert, and he is absolutely amazing and so clever, and I don't know what I would do without him. He has given me the confidence to achieve things that I wouldn't have done without him. He has changed my life totally, and he has made me a more confident person, he has made me visible! He’s my ears, my best friend, my companion, my whole world and I love him to bits. It’s all thanks to Hearing Dogs, it is a fantastic charity.

Read our story here about me and Albert:

Hearing Dogs receive no central government funding which means that they rely on amazing supporters, sponsorships and fundraising to finance the fantastic work that they do.

Only £5 per entry. All money will go directly to Hearing Dogs, to help them train life-changing hearing dogs to help deaf people, like Albert with me

HOW TO ENTER:

- Make a £5 donation to this JustGiving page to enter the prize draw.

- You can enter as many times as you like. One £5 donation equals one entry, so a £20 donation equals four entries etc.

- IMPORTANT: When you see this: “I am happy to be contacted by”,  please tick YES next to the charity's name. JustGiving can then share  your contact details with us so that we can include your name in the  draw and contact you if you are the winner. If this box is not ticked, we won't know who has entered and so Hearing Dogs will treat it as a donation. So be sure to include your contact details when prompted in order to be entered into the draw.
Failure to do so will mean your entry into the prize draw will not be valid.

- IMPORTANT
: Due to this being a prize draw, these donations will NOT be eligible for gift aid. Gift Aid should not be claimed on donations made in return for entry tickets. Please do NOT tick the gift aid box, otherwise you will not be entered into the draw, and it will be treated as a donation.

The more you donate, the more chances you have to win and the more you will raise to help Hearing Dogs to train more life-changing hearing dogs to change deaf people's lives..

The closing date for entries is Tuesday 23rd November 2021. The draw will then take place on Wednesday 24th November 2021, and the winner will be contacted once drawn.

Any entries made after Tuesday 23rd November, 2021 will not NOT be included in the prize draw.

Please feel free to share our page to your family, friends and colleagues. The more donations we get, the more they train life-changing hearing dogs to help deaf people

Thank you for your support and pob lwc (that’s good luck in Welsh!)
