Story
I ordered lots of sweets for my wedding this year and although I am so grateful that we were able to tie the knot, it was not the big wedding day we had planned due to this year's pandemic, so we have a lot of sweets leftover!
Given that Halloween will not be taking place as usual for lots of local children this year, I will be putting out pots of Halloween sweets for people to collect at the end of Eccles Fold in Chapel-en-le-Frith, near the hospice signs, all day between 9am and 4pm on Wednesday 28th, Thursday 29th and Friday 30th October.
All the pots will have the same amount of sweets in them, and the table will be Covid-secure and clean - you just need to choose and pick up the pot that you would like. The sweets are free to help local children enjoy Halloween a little bit this year - but if you are able to, any donations to Blythe House would be very much appreciated to support a very worthy local cause. You can read more about the hospice and its services below:
Blythe House Hospicecare provides free care and services to both adults and children who are affected by life-limiting illnesses, across the High Peak, Hope Valley and surrounding communities.
The hospice has a purpose-built day-care building, hosting services including physical and complementary therapies, out-patient clinics, counselling and bereavement support.
The Hospice at Home service enables patients with advanced illness to be cared for at home, and to die at home with their loved ones by their side, if that is their wish.
