This year we have launched the HALO Staff Challenge. Our staff across the world will be dreaming up epic, fun and unusual challenges to raise money for HALO, competing in a friendly rivalry to see which country programme can raise the most funds.

Story

Oliver GP and Mike Dyer work for the HALO Trust's mine clearance programme in the North of Sri Lanka.

Oliver, Mike and ten Sri Lankan HALO employees will challenge themselves to run 42km (a marathon) from the control point of one of the biggest most complex minefields in the world; The Muhamalai Forward Defensive Line, to their operational headquarters in Kilinochchi.

The ten members of national staff will run in a relay fashion, each completing about 5km, whilst Mike and Oliver will run the full 42km wearing all the safety equipment required when demining.

Please help them raise some money but most of all awareness for all humanitarian mine clearance in Sri Lanka that enables thousands of internally displaced people to return safely to their homes.
