The Free Representation Unit (FRU) is a charity dedicated to providing free legal representation to those who cannot afford to pay, before Tribunals in the Greater London area where legal-aid is unavailable. Founded in 1972, FRU is one of the country's foremost providers of free legal service.

Story

The Free Representation Unit (FRU) is an amazing charity which I had the privilege to volunteer with while studying for the BPTC (the Bar course). I am delighted to be running the London Marathon for them.

By connecting law students and practising lawyers to provide pro bono support to claimants in benefits appeals and employment tribunals, FRU helps hundreds of people every year to access the justice system. And at the same time, law students gain valuable legal skills and advocacy experience in real cases.

But they rely on donations to fund their office and staffing costs. Please give generously so that this brilliant charity can continue its vital work.
