Story
Hi All!
With the help of Human Appeal, Aleeza and I are raising £7000 for a village to have an integrated solar powered water well, built in the Tharparkar district, Pakistan. 98% of people in Tharparkar don't have access to basic sanitation including toilets and water.
Personally I think in an age which we are in, water should be accessible to everyone and it's really quite sad that many people around the world don't have access!
We're aiming to raise £1000 this Month to help kick start this project. We need all of our friends, family to support to help us achieve this goal Inshallah. With your donations you will be helping to lift an entire community out of poverty for good by giving them the tools to overcome the challenges in their lives - water scarcity, compromised hygiene facilities, decimated farming and livestock.
Next year I will be flying out to Tharparkar with Human Appeal to show the work that has been done with your donations. I shall keep everyone up to date with photos and videos of my entire experience so you can see the difference that you made.
If you donate £100, your name will be placed on a plaque on the water plant!
Here is the end goal which Human Appeals has outlined for where your money will go:
- 1 Water Plant which will be integrated into the local village homes (Help Up to Village size of 1000 People!)
- A Sanitary area which will be lit up
- Solar panels which will provide light and electricity
- Hygiene training to ensure that locals are able to help prevent the spread of disease and infections.
- 100 farming families will receive training on water efficiency, climate-smart agriculture, drought-resistant farming techniques, as well as seeds, tools and training.
- 120 widows will be provided with a pair of goats for milking so that they can produce and sell milk in order to support their families.
