Morrisons Great Manchester Run 2015 · 10 May 2015 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Many of you will know that my Dad passed away on 16th November 2010. He was only 66. He died of a rare form of Dementia called Pick's Disease or Frontotemporal Dementia.

Many of you will also be fairly surprised that I am taking part in the Great Manchester Run as you could say that I am not a natural athlete! But for the last seven months I been pounding the streets of Altrincham to prove to myself that with a little determination and a lot of support from Rick, a very unfit  37 year old mother of one (and not a huge fan of lycra based sportswear I might add) can indeed get herself across that finishing line on 10th May.

So dig deep folks if you can and donate to this wonderful charity.

This one is for you Dad x
