Here’s 10 reasons why we think you should part with some cash and sponsor us…
- Let’s start with the facts. We’re trekking over 100km, reaching heights of 18,500ft (5,643m). That’s 41.8 times the height of the London Eye!
- There’s a (small) chance we could die. Please note, donations will not be returned in the case of death :)
- We are flying into the WORLD’S MOST DANGEROUS AIRPORT. The statistics aren’t great.
- Altitude sickness + a runny bum = not much fun
- Every penny you donate will go towards helping a poorly child - rest assured that we are paying for this challenge in full.
- If we exceed our target, Gavin’s promised a “saucy” photo from Base Camp. You know you all want to see that…
- We will only stop pestering you once you have donated. It’s best to get it over and done with now.
- No parent expects to live longer than their child, but for many of the families Julia’s House supports, this is a reality.
- Julia's House receives just 5% of its annual funding from the government, making it one of the worst-funded hospices in the UK. We’re just trying to do our little bit and we’d love you to help us too.
- We’ve got to spend 16 days together… god help Hannah ;)
We’re trying to raise £1,500 - if we achieve this, that money could help pay for:
A weekend hospice session for five children in a warm and loving environment.
Or
Vital day-to-day care equipment for two children for a whole year
Or
Six much-needed care sessions in a child’s own home, helping an exhausted Mum or Dad and the family as a whole.
If it will seal the deal, we’ll even buy you a drink in return for your donation (quality and quantity cannot be guaranteed…).
So dig deep guys, give everything you can to support the incredible work this charity does and between us we can make a difference to families struggling to cope with a poorly child.
