The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

Nathan and Hannah will be covering a marathon distance between them, for their 2.6 challenge. They will each push 13.1miles around their local roads in Chester, in their 1 hour of outdoor exercise on London Marathon Day, Sunday 26th April 2020- but being within their one hour puts them against the clock!

Usually a rest day from their intense training schedules, this will be an extra push for a great cause to find their limits on top of a full training week. As both usually sprint on the track, with all facilities closed, it’s a great opportunity to try something a bit different and test their endurance skills.

Hannah is Paralympic Champion over the 100m, 400m and 800m and has never taken on anything over a 10k on the road before. Nathan is European Champion in the Universal 4x 100m relay and, although having taken on a half marathon distance before, he’s in his comfort zone when on the track.

The School Bus Foundation aims to further the advancement of education in England by providing disadvantaged children and young people in mainstream education with opportunities that can make a positive difference to their lives. The foundation will help stretch their capabilities through a range of experiences they may otherwise have missed.

Hannah and Nathan were lucky enough to find Paralympic sport and enjoy all that it has to offer from a young age, but many young people are never given this window of opportunity and that is why, Hannah and Nathan have chosen to support The School Bus Foundation, because they believe that every young person deserves the same opportunities, no matter their circumstance.
