I have wanted to do a challenge for the British Lung Foundation for some time now. My Dad has had lung disease since I was five and his illness has been a real challenge for our whole family. However, my dad is amazing and through the help of amazing doctors and research he is doing really well and lives a full and wonderful life, enjoying walking, spending time with his family and making dodgy dad jokes. 

Over the years my family has raised money for the BLF with my brother and sister running the Great North Run and my mam running multiple half marathons and the London Marathon. Because of my own health problems I haven’t been able to take part in those events and for years I have been looking for a challenge I can complete and raise money for the BLF to say thank you for the fantastic work they do.

Lung disease is a hard thing for any family to go through and it’s effects can be life long. We are incredibly lucky to have my dad still with us and doing so amazingly well. I would love to raise some money as a thank you to the BLF and to show my dad how much I love him and how proud I am that he keeps going with all of his challenges and never even complains.

Any donation would be really appreciated! I’ll keep you updated once we get to June with photos from my walks, expect plenty cute pictures of the dog too!
