In October 2011 I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for Children and Families Across Borders (CFAB).

For many of us, international borders provide opportunities for travel and discovery. However, for the children which CFAB work with, they act as barriers between them and their families, usually as a result of trafficking, abduction,  conflict, divorce, asylum or migration.  CFAB's mission is to unite families and protect these children by achieving the best outcomes for all regardless of their location, background or circumstance.  The specialist inter-country social workers work tirelessly each day to do this.

At 5,895m, Mount Kilimanjaro is one of the largest volcanoes ever to break through the Earth's crust.  Having already trekked for 7 days, Summit Day means 1,295m of ascent followed by 2,145m of descent and 12-15 hours of walking!

Please dig deep and help keep my motivation up during one of the toughest things I will have ever done, and support this amazing charity who's work I see each day.  Thank you!
