London Landmarks Half Marathon 2024 · 7 April 2024 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

Growing up, our group of friends was lucky enough to not only have each other, but also a whole host of houses across Dorking that always had an open door, snacks waiting and a welcoming parent.

The Bryer's home was no different. From playing guitar hero for hours on end and Sunday bagel teatime, to putting up with end of summer parties that became a yearly tradition, Paul and Fiona were always happy to see us. More recently, being in Cornwall regularly, splashing about like tits in the freezing cold sea, and generally having the best time with my best mate has all been because of their generosity and openness.

I'm running the London Landmarks Half in support of Blood Cancer UK. Paul fought Lymphoma for two years before passing away last October, and he was a keen advocate for awareness of the disease and fundraising to help research. The Bryer family are raising money in his memory, so please give what you can to this amazing charity in his honour.

We're a community dedicated to beating blood cancer. We do this by funding research and supporting those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. Right now, our community is funding 360 researchers and staff across the UK who are searching for the next breakthrough. The day we will beat blood cancer is now in sight and the researchers are determined to finish the job.
