Blonde Bimbo Bikes to Brighton for a blast with the boys!
... and all in the name of a good cause.
That's right we've organised a London to Brighton run to blow a few cobwebs of the Thameslink and Kings Cross crews. Well I've only just got a summer out of my new baby and figured this would be a good test of my limits.
We're heading from London Kings Cross Station to Brighton station passed quite a few of the Thameslink route stations. 70 miles and somewhere between 2-3 hours. All we need is some sponsorship - why I hear you ask? Because we're doing it with a sense of humour and charity!
I'm going as a Charlie's Angel (the blonde one). Not an exact lookalike of Cameron Diaz I thought I'd adapt the theme a little and see how far and fast a pair of wings can get me there. I should add that I will not be the leader of the pack as I'm marshalling from the rear (well how else is all the traffic going to be able to admire my costume?)
So... in order for me to take this seriously I need you all to donate a little money to egg us on which goes to the NSPCC. You can donate through the website or give me cash - the latter going to some of our local charities in Kings Cross - Richard House http://www.richardhouse.org.uk/ - London's first Children's Hospice and New Horizons - http://www.uclunion.org/volunteers/organisations/new-horizon-youth-centre.php - a drop in centre for homeless young people. I'm sure you can spot the emerging theme of charities supporting young people - a subject which, if you know me, you know is close to my heart.
A donation guaruntees you to get a photo of the crazy crew and me on my baby.
Thanks in advance for all those contributions. Look forward to hearing from you.
