Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Meningitis remains a universal public health challenge in countries around the world, affecting more than five million people globally each year. Till this day meningitis continues to be the world’s sixth largest infectious disease killer amongst all age groups! After hearing these shocking facts and statistics I knew I had to do my part to ensure we are one step closer to defeating meningitis wherever it exists.
With the support of the foundation I will be well and truly out of my comfort zone as I take on the challenge of a lifetime and conquer ‘the world’s tallest free-standing mountain’. I am choosing to put my self in a situation that whilst sitting comfortably at home seems absolutely terrifying, climbing 5,895 metres combined with the inevitable lack of sleep and altitude sickness is guaranteed to make this the hardest mental and physical challenge I have ever undertaken. But by actively seeking discomfort and volunteering myself up for a journey of unknowns, we will be able to make a difference.
Please support me and the MRF by making a donation today. The more people that know about the Meningitis Research Foundation, the higher their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Together we can help fund research breakthroughs and provide vital support that can transform the lives of people living with the disease and their families.
Thank you in advance and I encourage you to seek discomfort in any small way, so we can all make a difference in this place we call home!
