Story
On the 23rd April 2023, I will be running the London marathon for Devon Rape crisis. This charity holds a special place in my heart, as during sixth form, it tried to help me navigate one of the most painful and difficult experiences I’ve ever been through. The work that they provide is vital and in lots of cases life-saving. The road to recovery is long and challenging, but they are one of the many charities trying to be a light to people throughout this. Many days have felt like a living nightmare for the past few years. I’ve battled with chronic ptsd, isolation, anxiety and depression, but their support lightened the burden for me for a short while and I can’t express my gratitude enough. I know they have a long and extensive waiting list, and also rely on volunteers giving up their time to help so many people out there, like me, who have unfortunately had to experience something that no one should. Anything you could donate would be so greatly appreciated.
