The Church was completed in 1853 to serve a growing local population. Since then it has been extended twice & altered internally, lastly in 1992 when the Church Room was added. As we continue to develop & grow, it is time to do more work on the church & church room to provide a
fully accessible, welcoming venue with modern facilities for the Bitterne community.  The new rooms will support community activities like Rainbows, Mums' and Toddlers’ Group, Seniors’ Tea, Dreggs Cafe
(for 10 - 18 yr olds), Coffee Pot and Messy Church for families and
will be available to hire for social and community events by local groups.

I'm returning to run the Grizzly 20 mile trail race (www.axevalleyrunners.org.uk/grizzly/home) along the Jurassic Coast in Devon after an 8 year gap/recovery period (!) and have put some photos of the mud, hills, beaches and bog from my 2009 experience on this fundraising page.
