Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year, I will be attempting to run the London Marathon. The whole 26.2 miles!! I initially secured my marathon place through the public ballot in 2019 but due to the pandemic, I have not yet had the opportunity to run it! After what seems like the longest time, I will finally be running on the 2nd October this year. I have decided that whilst running the marathon, I would love to try and raise funds for a fantastic charity that was set up by my parents in memory of my beautiful sister, Rachael.
Rachael was just 24 when she passed away in 2004 from a brain haemorrhage. After she died, Rachael's ICU Fund was set up to raise funds for much needed extra equipment, that is not provided by the NHS, for Medway ICU who looked after Rachael. The charity also aims to highlight awareness of organ donation, as Rachael had always expressed that she wanted to be an organ donor, and in her death was able to help save the lives of others.
I know that many of you donated back in 2020 when I was originally going to run and you helped me to raise a fantastic £175! Please don't feel obliged to donate again; your money already went towards items for the ICU.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
