Thank you so much for visiting my JustGiving page! I’ve decided to set myself a personal challenge in November to run and walk (but mostly run!) 60 miles for Mind charity. Exercise has never been my strong point especially since being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 11 years ago. I’ve always avoided it because it’s so hard to control my blood sugars and exercise at the same time but this year I said I’m finally going to give the middle finger to diabetes and do something I’ve wanted to overcome for a very long time!
I’ve chosen Mind charity as they support anyone experiencing mental health problems and they campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote better understanding of mental health. I’ve had a few of my own struggles over the years after being diagnosed with generalised anxiety and OCD at a young age and the support I’ve received from health care professionals and my friends and family has been amazing so this is my way of giving a little back by running not only for myself but for everyone who struggles with their mental health 💕
60 miles might seem like a little to those who exercise frequently but to me and my faulty pancreas it’s going to be a big challenge but definitely one I’m going smash for Mind. Let’s do this 💪
