Myself and a group of thirteen are currently on NCS planning for our Social Action Project-we have decided on fundraising for the NSPCC and completing volunteer work.
We will be doing gardening and helping sort out an allotment which is used for mental health therapy, alongside this we will be doing interviews with the NSPCC and raising money for them.
We decided on the NSPCC as it is a charity I hold very close to my heart. The NSPCC has worked with me as an individual since I was twelve years old-which is a little over five years now. Without their support, determination and passion I feel as if I would be in a very different situation to the one I'm in now.
Alongside this, workers from the NSPCC and Childline have always been there to listen to my problems and offer advice; they have helped me through things such as depression, self-harm, etc. I'm eternally grateful for their help.
Did you know a child rings Childline for help every twenty-five seconds? This is why I believe such a large charity deserves more recognition and attention.
So please donate, even £1 will help our cause.
