Event: #TeamIrfon Pier to Pier swim 2022, on 10 September 2022
In memory of Ruth Goggin
Since 2014, the #TeamIrfon swim has raised over £20,000 for the North Wales Cancer Care Fund to help improve cancer care across North Wales.

Story

I was one of the lucky ones who took part in the 2017 Castle to Castle swim, of which it was a pleasure to have the opportunity to be involved in the event and fundraise for such a worthy cause. This September, I look forward to participating in the fourth Straits Swim - Beaumaris Pier to Bangor Pier, again fundraising for this worthy cause. I have personally been affected by friends who are and have been affected by cancer.

This year will be special as I will be swimming in memory of my closest friends mum, Ruth🤍

Since 2014, the #TeamIrfon swim has raised over £20,000 for the North Wales Cancer Care Fund to help improve cancer care across North Wales. This year, we are back for another Pier to Pier swim to raise money for a cooling cap for Alaw Ward, Ysbyty Gwynedd! The Pier to Pier swim is taking place on Saturday 10th September 2022, with timings to be confirmed, and swimmers will go from Beaumaris Pier to Bangor Pier in a 2 mile swim.
