Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

I lost my amazing Dad, Geoff Jarvis, very suddenly to heart attack on 3rd September 2023. He was on holiday in Benidorm with his friends.

To give myself some focus, I have decided to run a marathon on 14th April 2024 to make him proud.

He loved the fact that I ran a lot (with Fitmums and Friends) and would follow me on Find my iPhone whilst I was out running so I know he will be with me every step of the way and on the day.

I’ve done 5km, 10km and 1 half marathon so this is a HUGE challenge and any donations for the British Heart Foundation would mean the world to me

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
