Story
We mostly spend our time splashing through the murky waters of UK energy policy (joking, but genuinely - that's what we do). And instead on the 8th April we will attempt to swim 5K each to raise some money for Action for Refugees in Lewisham (AFRIL). That's 200 lengths of an Olympic sized pool. Or a 50m pool (but Olympic sounds more epic). It will probably take us a total of 5 hours. It's going to be a lot of swimming.
Why are we fundraising for this? Because AFRIL are a brilliant grassroots charity in London who work with refugees and asylum seekers to relieve poverty and social isolation.
They provide really valuable services like education support, advocacy and a Saturday school called the Rainbow Club where families and children can go to access support and connect with their local community.
You can read all about them here: http://www.afril.org.uk/en/
Because they are a relatively small local charity - every donation really makes a difference and we would love for you to consider giving something to support this vital work.
Any questions let us know and thanks so much!!
