Hannah - London Marathon 2021!

London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·
On Sunday 3rd October 2021 I will be taking on my biggest challenge yet - The London Marathon! I will be running 26.2 miles to raise money for The National Brain Appeal.
In May 2015, we found out that mum had a brain tumour. The news was shocking and unexpected, and after several inconclusive brain biopsies, The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Queen Square successfully removed the whole tumour. The support we had from family and friends during this time was incredible, and we are forever thankful.
The National is one of the worlds leading centres for the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with neurological and neuromuscular conditions. These include stroke, MS, brain cancer, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, Prion disease and head injury. We learned about the Appeal after mum was treated at the Hospital. The money you donate to The National Brain Appeal will make an immediate impact at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery so it can continue as an internationally recognised centre of excellence.
Over the past few years we have supported The National Brain Appeal as a family - Mum completed The Thames Path Challenge raising over £5,000 (incredible) and we have attended their Christmas Carol concert every year!
It's now my turn to give something back. This is going to be a massive challenge requiring a great deal of training! I started running in March 2020 during the first lockdown for Covid-19. It has been an incredible focus for me, and has been amazing for both my mental and physical health. I completed a Half Marathon in July 2020, and will do another as part of the training for the Marathon.
Any donations would be gratefully received. See you at the finish line!!
Thank you.
