Hannah dons a hard hat to help build homes in Romania!

Addleshaw Goddard Graduates - Romania · 11 August 2013 to 18 August 2013 ·
In August, I will be travelling to Cluj in Romania. My aim is to help towards Habitat for Humanity's goal of breaking the cycle of poverty (which affects 1.6 billion people worldwide) by giving people who suffer, a decent place to live. According to the statistics, 35% of the housing stock in Romania is in a state of complete neglect and needs urgent repair. I will be working in a team, building homes for families who desperately need help.
Habitat for Humanity is a great charity to support. It works in over 80 countries and supports a vision which we, in our everyday lives, tend to take for granted - that everyone has a safe and decent place to live.
Having never got my hands dirty like this before, spending a week in Romania will certainly be a new experience for me! In helping build new homes for families in need, I will be digging, bricklaying, scaffolding, roofing, sawing and stripping wood!
Any donations, however small, will be extremely helpful and much appreciated! Thank you!
