London Marathon 2018 · 22 April 2018 ·

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

Two years ago I ran the London Marathon for Asthma UK and on Sunday 22nd April 2018 I will be running again but for another wonderful and inspiring charity, Aspire.

Every eight hours someone is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. Aspire provide practical help to people who have been paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury, supporting them from injury to independence.

This charity has been a wonderful support to a close friend’s family earlier this year.

On 17 February Georgie Doble’s brother, Sam Doble, was involved in a motorcycle accident. His life was turned upside down. Unfortunately, he now has no sensation or movement below the level of injury and is now permanently in a wheelchair. Aspire was there to provide a rehab programme for Sam to help him rebuild his new life.

If you would like to help Aspire and myself, please kindly donate - remember every penny counts!

Or if you would like to donate by text, please text HANM95 and the amount (£1-£10) to 70070.

Thank you SO MUCH x
