Story
It was summer 2019 and I'd been signed up for a 10k race by some pals. "Lol, imagine if Hannah actually goes through with it". I'd show them, I thought. 8 weeks later, and I ran the race in Regents Park, and a week after that, signed up for the 2020 London Marathon. After a life of avoiding exercise, I was finally beginning to understand what all the fuss was about.
After the event was cancelled, I chose to run it virtually, along the towpath in East London, accompanied by friends (and a stormtrooper) who joined for a mile...or 9. It was a wonderful day and I ran the distance in 04:49hr, stopping only once to do a wee in Tottenham.
But I've not run the ACTUAL London Marathon...so I'm going for it this year.
Children with Cancer UK actively raise and invest money for vital specialist research to save the lives of every child with cancer and keep their family together. Their vision is a world where every child diagnosed with cancer gets to ring their end of cancer treatment bell.
I'm running for this incredible charity, and I hope you'll support me and them in any way you can.
Thank you in advance...and wish me luck!
