It is World Homeless Day on Thursday 10th October 2019 and I will be 'sleeping out' in a cardboard box in the Abbey Ruins to raise money for my favourite charity Launchpad. Millions of people in the UK are only one pay cheque away from homelessness and it affects people of all backgrounds and with varying vulnerabilities. Having somewhere you can call home, somewhere you can be safe and warm and somewhere you belong is something many of us take for granted. Getting out of homelessness is tough and people need care, help and support to find a home so they can move on with their lives. Launchpad provide just that for the homeless of Reading and I am proud to be a trustee for this wonderful charity. This is a cause very close to my heart and I am truly grateful for any donation you can manage. Thank you!
