On May the 20th 2012 I will be running the Marine Corp Historic Half Marathon in downtown Fredericksburg VA! I will be raising money for The British Red Cross and will also have a charity page stateside to raise money for the American Red Cross.

Why did I choose the Red Cross? I am always moved by seeing the struggle and uncertainty people from all walks of life face in the wake of a natural disaster such as Haiti and Joplin. To suddenly be left with no shelter, food or support after facing such a terrifying experience is unimaginable. The Red Cross has millions of volunteers worldwide that help people at thier most helpless moments, providing the basic needs for life and supporting both local and overseas communities day-to-day, and in emergencies.
