Story
I want to walk a marathon in stints of 2.6 as part of the 2.6 challenge. I aim to complete it between now and the middle of May.
Why is this a challenge to me?
Firstly, according to my google month review, I didn't actually walk 2.6 miles in the whole of March! So to do it in one go ten times over is probably the most exercise I have done in my adult life!
Secondly, it's also my dress size! I am not athletic in anyway!
Thirdly, as part of my 30th year bucket list (whilst I pretend I am only 26) I pledged to raise money for charity and complete a physical challenge! So this ticks 2 boxes!
Please donate to keep me motivated and keep this incredible cause saving lives every day!
The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) rescues hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year throughout the North East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. Their doctor-led critical care teams deliver life-saving treatments at the scene of the incident whether that is on a fell top, a roadside or in a city centre. The charity responded to 1,640 call outs last year* alone, via their helicopter and emergency response vehicles, where they performed treatments and procedures which can mean the difference between life or death.
