Hello!!!!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. (i know my photo is sideways but i'm not that technical!)

In an attempt to get fit and raise money for a great charity, i have had my arm twisted into entering a sponsored cycle event in the lovely New Forest. The Orchid charity raises money to fund pioneering research into male cancers as well as promoting awareness.  My Dad had such great treatment when he had cancer and i hope to do my little bit to say thank you. We were lucky. I hope the money we raise will make someone elses dad, or husband or important man lucky too.

I haven't been on a bike for any great distance since uni, ( last bike ride includes tipping myself and Blue off the back of my bike into a pile of nettles) and am hoping some massively padded cycling shorts (ooh so attractive!) will get me through the 28 miles...or possibly 48 if we are on top form! Whilst i am probably fitter at the mo than i've ever been, i'm not sure how my rear end will stand up to the saddle......so dig deep even if only for comedy value.
