Virtual Hospice Run · 10 October 2020 ·
Hi everyone,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my page! I was approached by Hospice in the Weald to run the 10k race. Most of you will know I’m not an avid runner, especially with my history of knee injuries - but this is a cause close to my heart. While I haven’t known anyone use Hospice in the Weald specifically, I have recently lost family members who required the support of a hospice in their last days.
Just over a year ago we sadly lost my Uncle John to cancer. Then over the last two months both my grandparents to the same dreaded C word. Hospice’s have played a huge role in making their last days as comfortable as possible and I cannot thank those who cared for them enough. We have all seen how crucial the role of our care givers is throughout Covid and I hope we can all support locally to keep these services going.
Thank you again for taking the time to read this and if you are able to donate something small I am incredibly grateful x
Let’s hope my knees hold out 😂
